About
Vahid Razavi is an Iranian-American documentary filmmaker, author and human rights advocate. He spent three decades in the technology industry — from data centres and managed services in 1997, through enterprise search, CRM and the rise of cloud computing and big data, including his own company BizCloud and a period inside Amazon Web Services — before turning to accountability work.
For sixteen years he has been building Forever Peace Now, a feature documentary and ongoing archive drawn from interviews with Silicon Valley leaders, human rights defenders and families affected by war and corporate harm. The project includes ParentsPlea.com, a living memorial holding more than 142,500 researched records of lives lost to war, genocide, state violence and corporate crime; the GoAmour Principles, a framework for ethical, love-centred technology; ConflictTour, a service programme offered as an alternative to military enlistment; and EndOfHankyPanky.com, a reporting engine built for NGOs, journalists and courts.
He founded Ethics In Tech in 2013 and ran it as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit from 2018 to 2022. He is the author of three books — The Age of Nepotism (2009), Ethics in Tech and Lack Thereof (2018) and No Ethics in Big Tech: An Insider’s Case Against Silicon Valley’s War on Humanity and the Fight to Make Them Pay (2026) — and of a public petition calling on the Spanish authorities to investigate major technology companies and their executives for complicity in international crimes in Gaza.
